The Kinneret Regional Project welcomes team-members from all over the world to join the season in 2010 (including survey- and excavation-programs at Horvat Kur and study-programs at Tel Kinrot).
Please apply until May 10th, 2010, 12:00h (CET) at the latest. However, one should note that the work is physically demanding and the climate is hot. You need to be in good health to participate. The number of team-members is limited and experienced diggers from previous seasons will have priority.

Dates and costs

The dates for the 2010 season are June 20 to July 16, 2010 (work in the field starts on June 21 and ends on July 15). Team members need to arrange their own flights to Israel. The project offers transportation from/to Ben Gurion Airport (for 10 euros each turn). The following costs apply for the full season:

850 € students | 1700 € non-students | returnees get a reduction of 100 €

The price includes full board and accommodation in air-conditioned rooms (4-6 persons per room) with bathroom, TV and fridge at the beautiful Karei Deshe Guest House just a few minutes from the archaeological sites of Horvat Kur and Tel Kinrot (Internet use is provided for all team-members in the evening hours). The Guest House features a splendid park with private access to the beach of the Sea of Galilee. Vegetarian and kosher meals are served. Weekend accomodation and meals are included in the price. Note that flight fares are not included.
Please be aware that you can apply for the full season only. ECTS-creditpoints can be arranged with the Universities of Bern, Helsinki, Leiden and Mainz (students from the US should arrange with their schools whether ECTS are accepted or not).
