The 2012 Field Season

The Kinneret Regional Project welcomes team-members from all over the world to join the season in 2012 (including excavation-programs at Horvat Kur and study-programs at Tel Kinrot). Please apply until February 28, 2012, 24:00h (CET) at the latest.
Work on an excavation is physically demanding and the climate is hot. You need to be in good health to participate. The number of team-members is limited and experienced diggers from previous seasons will have priority.
Dates and costs
The dates for the 2012 season are June 17 to July 13, 2012 (work in the field starts on June 18 and ends on July 12). Team members need to arrange their own flights to Israel. The project offers transportation from/to Tel Aviv - Ben Gurion Airport (for 15 € each turn). The following costs apply for the full season::1150 €

This fee includes full board
and accommodation in air-conditioned rooms (4-5 persons per
room) with bathroom, TV and fridge in beautiful Karei Deshe
Guest House just a few minutes from the archaeological
sites of Horvat Kur and Tel Kinrot.
Karei Deshe Guest House features a splendid park with
private access to the beach of the Sea of Galilee. Weekend
accommodation and meals are included in the price. Next to
delicious Middle Eastern cuisine, vegetarian and kosher
meals are also served. Note that flight fares are not
included in the price.
Registration is online, only applications to the full
season are accepted. ECTS credits can be arranged with the
Universities of Bern, Helsinki and Leiden (students from
the US should arrange with their schools whether ECTS are accepted or not).
